April & Otto Quilt

This quilt design is an expression of my love for one of my children. It is a mix of one simple, beautiful block and one more beautiful, more nuanced block.

The design utilises machine piecing and needle turn appliqué. Two needle turn appliqué designs are included in the pattern. One uses a floral element creating a vintage feel, whilst the second design is more modern depending on your fabric and colour choices.

Finished Quilt is 64" square.

As a guide I suggest about 5 yards / 4.5 metres of fabric comprised of fat quarters (especially low volume fabrics) fat eighths and fat sixteenths, with additions from your scraps, for your quilt top.

The beautiful A5 pattern booklet includes colour diagrams, detailed instructions and colouring sheets. Instructions are included to make your own templates for the needle turn appliqué elements or you can purchase the sew.be acrylic templates here.
