A few words about Anna Victoria

Anna Victoria Bastiaan is a mixed-media artist based in Melbourne who works out of her home studio making textile-based artworks. While Anna’s creations are predominantly based around the use of fabric and thread, she draws on a variety of material types, embroidery techniques, embellishing materials and even paint/illustration to create her pieces. Her work is often inspired by nature and the world around her and embodies a sense of whimsy, magic and a love for the long-lost slower pace of life.

Embroidered Silk Bracelet Workshop

As part of her collection of regular works, Anna crafts exquisite silk bracelets adorned with embroidery, sequins, glass beads and vintage treasures such as enamel painted brass charms - and now she is running a special class to teach you how to make your own.

Anna prepares several stunning bracelet kit designs for you to work from which include everything you need to complete a gorgeous piece of wearable art, however you are also invited to modify these to make your bracelet truly your own if you prefer.  Enjoy a day surrounded by Anna's incredible collection of dyed silks, old enamel-painted vintage charms, raw brass beads, European glass beads, French embroidery floss, sequins and other embellishing materials which she will bring for you to select from.

Anna’s treasures have been sourced over time from all over the world, and some are quite old and rare, making them extra special to include in your project. You are also welcome to bring your own special treasures or charms along to add to your piece - the intention is for you to make something that is meaningful to you.

Anna will also bring some of her own silk bracelets, co-ordinating charm bracelets and additional kits available for purchase on the day.  It promises to be a gloriously creative day!
