A few words about Anna
Anna is a creative in Melbourne who works out of her home studio making textile-based artworks. You can find her art and follow her creative process on her Instagram account at ‘Lalou and Boo’. While Anna’s creations are predominantly based around the use of fabric, she draws on a variety of material types, embroidery techniques, embellishing materials and even paint/illustration to create her pieces. Her work is often inspired by nature and the world around her (including her four beautiful little girls), and embodies a sense of whimsy, magic and a love for the long-lost slower pace of life.
Embroidered bracelet workshop
Enjoy a day fossicking through Anna's incredible collection of dyed silks, old enamel-painted vintage charms, raw brass beads, European glass beads, French embroidery floss, sequins and other embellishing materials which she will bring for you to select from to make your bracelet. These treasures have been sourced over time from all over the world, and some are quite old and rare, making them extra special to include in your project. You are invited to bring your own special treasures or charms along too, to add to your piece - the intention is to make something that is truly personalised and meaningful to you.
Class price includes everything you need to make the bracelet. Please bring along with your normal sewing kit and piecing thread.
Anna will also bring some of her own silk bracelets, co-ordinating charm bracelets and additional kits for sale on the day. It promises to be a gloriously creative day!
The workshop runs from 10am to 3.30 pm and includes lunch. Please advise of any dietary requirements.
