Sometimes I dream about fabric I love it so much. I tend to buy with no specific purpose in mind and buy only small cuts unless I'm buying a quilt backing, or need a particular length for a certain pattern.
I'm a scrappy quilter and I never need too much of any particular print. The only time I buy more than I think I will need is if the fabric is something I collect. Until this week I only collected two types of fabric - Liberty Tana Lawn and Heather Ross prints. I noticed, however, when I was tidying up my sewing space this weekend that I was reluctant to put the three bits of Carolyn Friedlander fabric I had purchased in with my general stash. I think I may have started another collection without even knowing that was what I was doing.
